So I spent my morning locked away from all the April Fool-ishness going on in the world. I hate April Fools day - I'm so gullible, and then I get quite disappointed when I find out what I've just been told, isn't true! So I cracked on with my Nail Art!
What I used: -
* Models Own Kaleidoscope Collection
(l-r Sun Kissed; Blooming Pink; Dream Stream; Zest A Peal; Purple Imperial; 3 in 1 Base Coat / Top Coat / Gloss)
* Models Own Nail Art Pen in White
* The Striping Tape I bought off eBay in White
* A bent out of shape Bobby Pin
* A make up sponge cut up to the size of my thumb nails (plus extra to hold on to when picking up)
The sponged gradient didn't quite turn out how I wanted it to - I think I took too long in applying the nail varnish to the sponge, because it seemed very pale when I was 'dabbing it' onto my thumb nails, so I had to go back and fill it in using the nail varnish brush - it's now more stripes, than gradient.
But, over all, I'm happy with 'the look'. It definitely adds some extra colour to what has now turned out to be a really nice sunny day.
Hopefully it stays like this.
I'm off work now until the 12th, which is a nice, well deserved, break. I've only had one day off work since Christmas, and that turned into a sick day.
I've not got much planned. I'm off to Liverpool shopping with the girlies one day. Then going down to London to the new Harry Potter Studio Tour with the boyf over Easter weekend. I'll carry on reading my Hunger Games books. But that's it really. Apart from lots of mooching around with the cats, of course.
