Day Trippin'

After our spur of the moment day trip to Conwy a couple of weeks ago, me and the boyf decided to go away for the weekend to explore a bit more of the North Wales coastline.

We stayed in Porthmadog.

We visited Carnarfon

Spent the day in Baumaris

And stopped off at this place on the way home

 Or Llanfair PG as it's more commonly known - try saying that drunk! [or sober if you're not Welsh!]

Then, to top it all off, on the drive back home we drove through the tiniest little village [so small I can't even find it on a map!] with quite possibly THE greatest name ever

Action Shot
Yeah that says Glassblobbery!!

All in all a nice weekend. We're definitely going to do more exploring in the future; there's so much to see!

September Glossy Box

This month GlossyBox arrived in the post today; I must say, I'm not at all impressed. I love the box, just not the contents. I cant see myself using any of the products; and half of the 'samples' are the sort of things that fall out of a magazine when you first open it. *MiniRantOver*

I'm going to try and not 'judge a book by it's cover' as it were, and I will give a couple of the products a go; if only so I don't feel depressed about spending money on these things. Possible reviews to follow.

Lady Gaga - Fame Fragrance
An opulent, crushed floral fragrance that's black like the soul of fame but transparent once airborne.
RRP: £25 / 30ml

Rodial - Glamoxy Snake Serum and 5 Minute Facial
Glamoxy Snake Serum is a revolutionary product with instantly visible results, helping to reduce the appearance of frown lines and wrinkles. 5 Minute Facial is a triple action resurfacing gommage clay mask.

VICY - Idealia Day Care Cream
A smoothing and illuminating day cream that smooths skin's texture and improves complexion radiance.
RRP: £25 / 50ml

Maghrabian - Hair Oil
Nutrition, hydration, conditioning, softness, shine and long-term vitality. Hair absorbs the oil quickly, instantly improving its appearance.
RRP: £24 / 100ml

Update: Sorry for the negativity; I know some people don't like that on Reviews; and sorry for the hideously blurry bottom picture - I've only just realised how bad it is!! I'll re-do it so you can actually see the products!

Judgement Day

Today is the day, my recent Topshop haul arrived this afternoon.

Lucky for me I love it all; lucky for my Bank balance, the jeans and t-shirt don't fit.

So I am now the proud owner of these beauties.

The cardigan is the comfiest I ever did own, so soft and snugly; I also have it in black and have just noticed it's available in blue!

Uhoh!

No Regrets

Have you ever placed an order online then hoped and prayed that when it arrived you didn't like what you'd ordered; or they don't suit you; or don't fit, and the size you need is out of stock... ???

I have; just now in fact.

I've been eyeing up these beauties for weeks, and they have been sat in my 'Save for Later' on the Topshop website ever since. Today, goodness knows what spurred me on, I decided I wanted them... all.

So I ordered them!

The reason I'm hoping I don't like them etc.. is due to the amount of money I have just spent on them! I did manage to get free delivery, which brought it down a tiny bit; and I found a random (possibly fake?) Student NSU number in an online forum which miraculously worked and knocked another 10% off!! But still... it came to £145.80

I just cant justify spending that much on such beautiful things clothes in one go.... especially since I've just bought this beast...

Must. Stop. Spending. It's killing me!

New Nails #10

My inspiration for these nails came from this tutorial Pin on Pinterest - it really is amazing what you can do, nail art-wise with just random bits and bobs found around the home; and in this case, the office in work.

I have used hole-punch reinforcer's as a part of my nail art once before and found them really easy to use, they're not too sticky, so are easy to pull off without pulling up the varnish underneath.

What I used:
Models Own 3-in-1 Top Coat / Gloss/Base Coat
Models Own Raspberry Crush
Models Own Pink Punch
Models Own Pastel Pink
Hole punch reinforcer's I pinched from work!
Probably not the greatest combination colour-wise; I just didn't have a 'middle' pink.

Again, whilst I'm mentioning Models Own, if you're a fan, don't forget to 'Like' their Facebook page - prizes from 80,000 'Likes' and a 50% sale at 100,000 'Likes'! Do it!!!

Summer Days

I love days out. Even if it's just to the next town over; anything to get me away from my home town!

On Saturday, since the weather was so beautiful, spur of the moment, me and the boyf went to Conwy on the North Wales coast. It's a tiny little town, built within the walls of a Medieval Castle; Castell Conwy - there really isn't much there except for the Castle and walls, a Marina, Britain's Smallest House(!) and stunning views - but I had fun.

It was nice to walk around the castle then sit at the waters edge eating ice-cream, watching children crab fishing, whilst a street performer and fish monger battled to be heard - proper old school atmosphere.

Here's a couple of pictures for you....

Sorry if this post was so boring; I've literally done nothing else! I painted my nails, no design; but they turned out awful because my top coat is running out so it went on all tacky and gloopy. Hopefully in the next few days I'll have some new nails for you.

Sweetest Thing

I've been doing a bit of baking!

I love cooking, but I've never been any good at desserts. Now, I don't know if biscuits count as dessert, but it's a start! And the recipe I found sounded too nice for me to not try - custard and white chocolate!? Yummmmm!!!

Custard & White Chocolate Biscuits

* 140g butter, softened
* 175g caster sugar
* 1 egg
* 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
* 225g self-raising flour
* 85g custard powder
* 85g white chocolate, chopped into small chunks

Heat over to 180C/160C fan/Gas 4. Line 2-3 baking sheets with baking parchment. Put the butter and sugar in the food processor and whizz until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla, and mix well. Sift together the flour and custard powder, then tip into the bowl and pulse to mix a dough. Scrap out the food processor and work the chocolate in by hand.

Roll the dough into balls a little smaller than a walnut, then place on the baking sheets, a little apart to allow for spreading. Press each biscuit down lightly with your fingers.

Bake for 12-15 mins until lightly golden. Remove and cool on a wire rock.

Not New Nails #9

I did my nails again. When it came to browsing through my Pinterest boards for inspiration for my next design, I just couldn't resist this little beauty again....

Old Design

I really do love this design, and when I first had it last month I had so many compliments, and so many people thinking they were Nail Wraps - what a compliment!!!!

New Design

I was considering mixing it up a bit, and having an individual colour per finger for the leopard print, but I blobbed the purple on my thumb, then did my next finger completely forgetting my plan!! Next time, because there will be a next time for sure, this is now my 'go-to' design for when I can't think of / find another I like.

I used the same as last time, my trusty Models Own - whilst I'm mentioning Models Own, if you're a fan, don't forget to 'Like' their Facebook page - prizes from 80,000 'Likes' and a 50% sale at 100,000 'Likes'! Do it!!!
